Foundations of the three main building structures are all independent of each other will be designed to meet or exceed all local building codes. The foundation types are of typical industrial construction and are designed to support vertical and lateral building loads. The foundation for the Containment Building is a monolithic slab where all equipment and building walls are supported. Foundations in the Auxiliary and Turbine Buildings follow the typical design for power plant installations with equipment independently supported on individual foundations and a building slab designed to support heavy loads.
