Description

The Condensate System includes three pumps that draw water at close to saturation temperature from the condensate storage tank and all operate with variable speed drives to maintain flow but can operate with two at full speed if one is removed from service. Condensate is routed through an Electrodeionization (EDI) type polisher, discharges into a deaerator to reduce its Oxygen content, and also preheating the feedwater. The EDI polisher was selected to maintain high purity but also to minimize the use of chemical treatment, thus simplifying plant design and operation.
