Description

Feedwater Pumps

The feedwater pumps are multistage, radial sectioned, centrifugal pumps that take feedwater from the deaerator storage tank and supply it to the steam generator at the pressure required for the main steam system with margin for the pressure losses in the piping and heaters. Each pump is supplied with a dedicated lube oil system to lubricate and cool the bearings of the pump and motor. Instruments monitoring the equipment bearings provide operators with data needed to validate proper operation.
