Description
Turbine Generator Set
The turbine is a non-reheat, condensing turbine with extraction steam for regenerative heating that drives a generator via a gear reducer. The generator will export power at 13.8 kv through an iso-phase bus duct to generator circuit breakers and beyond to power distribution equipment in the switchyard. With the few steam extractions and an air-cooled generator versus the hydrogen cooling common in larger plants, the OPEN100 is able to reduce complexity and cost.
